How it works?

1. Join

In order to start using the Rowerowe Łódzkie System, You have to register and make the initial payment. You may do this by means of the internet website www.rowerowelodzkie.pl, through calling the Hotline orthrough the mobile application
After registration, via Text message sent to the indicated phone number and within an email message you will obtain a PIN number, which is necessary to use the Rowerowe Łódzkie system. Also remember to confirm your registration by
clicking on the activation link which you will receive by e-mail.

2. Rent

Bike rental is possible through: mobile application Rowerowe Łódzkie, attached the RFiD card or through calling the Hotline. By means of mobile application: Scan QR code on the bike or enter bike number and select RENT A BIKE. Using RFID
cards – just put the card near the reader device and you’re done.

3. Return

The bike is returned by blocking the O-lock.

Can I use a contactless card to log in to the terminal instead of typing my phone number and the PIN?

In order to make bike rental process simpler, it is possible to do the identification using any device with a contactless identifier function. Most of the contactless cards with an RFID reader will work – for example a city card, an Electronic Student ID card and the majority of payment cards.
In order to register the card, you should rent a bike with the mobile application Rowerowe Łódzkie, and then place the card in the designated place which you can find on the back mudguard on every bike that belongs to the Rowerowe Łódzkie system.
After this steps you need to confirm signing your card in your mobile application. Successful assignment will be confirm with the alert.. Next time you wish to rent a bike, you can identify yourself by apply this card to the data reader on the bike.

How to activate an account?

After registration, you will receive an SMS and an e-mail along with the PIN code, which together with your phone number are your identifiers in the system. You will also receive an email with a verification link that you need to click on in order to confirm your personal details and to activate your account. Next step is just top up the account with the initial payment (minimum amount is 20 PLN). As soon as the amount is recognized within the account or the card is assigned, rentals are available.

How much does it cost to register?

Registration is completely free of charge. To register you need to fill the registration blank form which you can find on the city bike system website.

How to register?

In order to use the bikes you have to fill the registration blank form which you can find on the city bike system website and accept the terms of use. You will receive an email from us, in which there is going to be a link that you need to click on in order to confirm your personal details. When you accept the terms of use and top up the newly created account with the initial payment (minimum amount is 20 PLN) rentals are available. You can also register using the Rowerowe Łódzkie mobile application or by contacting the 24/7 Call Center.

Are funds accumulated on the account refundable?

A refund of funds accumulated on the account is possible only in case of termination of the agreement with the Operator. Such instructions should be sent using contact form. send a letter to the office or bring the letter yourself.

What happens if the rental price exceeds the balance on my account?

When the charge for the rental is higher than the balance on your account, it will remain inactive until you settle the payment. You need to make a payment at term 7 days to the balance at least 0PLN. Remember that you can make a rent of the bike if the balance is at least 10PLN again. If you have a credit card assigned to your Rowerowe Łódzkie account, the charges will be taken automatically from you bank account and you will remain as an active user.

What is the minimal amount to rent a bike?

Renting a bike is only possible if you have a minimum balance of 10PLN on your account. If the rental time is longer than 20 minutes, then, after completing the ride, the appropriate fee will be added to your account. In order to rent another bike, you will need to top up your account so that the balance is at least 10PLN again. If you have a credit card assigned to the account, the charges will be taken automatically from your bank account.

I want my credit card to be charged automatically every time it is needed. How do I do it?

You can assign your credit card to a registered account – just contact our 24-hour Call Center , when the account balance is lower than 10PLN. If you choose this option, the amount of 20PLN (the initial payment) will be taken from your bank account. It works as an entry fee, but it also covers your future rides that last longer than 20 minutes.

How to top up an account?

After logging in to your profile at www.rowerowelodzkie.pl , select one of the payment methods in “Top up account” tab: BLIK, card payment or online transfer. You can also assign your credit card to a registered account – just contact our 24-hour Call Center or add a card at the terminal, when the account balance is lower than 10 PLN.

ATTENTION: If you choose online transfer as a payment method, transfer title for your payments will be generated only for you. It is very important to write it down correctly every time you pay, so that the payment can be recorded.

How much does the bike rental cost?

Having a bike rented up to 20 minutes is free of charge. Having a bike rented up to 1 hour costs 1PLN. Having a bike rented up to 2 hours costs 3PLN. Every additional hour is 5PLN. For example, if you rent a bike for 2,5h you need to calculate it this way: 1PLN + 3PLN + 5PLN = 9PLN.

What is the area of use Rowerowe Łódzkie System?

Bikes from Rowerowe Łodzkie system you can use in User – zone, i.e. in administrative borders following cities: Koluszki, Kutno, Łask, Łowicz, Łódź, Pabianice, Sieradz, Skierniewice, Zduńska Wola and Zgierz.

During the rent User can ride outside the border of User- zone, but is obligated to return to it before the end of the loan.

I returned the bike ahead of time and got an SMS about the ongoing rental/ cash collection. What should I do?

If you have received an SMS with information about the ongoing rental, although you have already correctly returned the bike at the station – contact the 24-hour Call Center. If you have noticed that the rental fee has been charged incorrectly, write to us using the contact form. We have a maximum of 14 days to send an answer.

What can I do if I will not be able to return bike?

In case of difficulties with returning bike in the system you should contact with our 24/7 Call Center. The consultant will help you return the bike in the system and determine the possible reasons that made the rental still in progress.

How do I know if the return is correct?

We advise to check your account balance using the Rowerowe Łódzkie mobile application or by logging in to your account at www.rowerowelodzkie.pl.. You can also confirm if the bike has been returned successfully in the system by contacting our 24-hour Call Center

Can I return the bike outside the station?

The return of the bicycle in the Rowerowe Łódzkie system is also possible outside the system stations, but only in the area of the Rowerowe Łódzkie system with reservation of hard-to-reach places, such as closed housing estates or private properties.

ATTENTION: In case of renting bike from Rowerowe Łódzkie station and returning it on the station outside the area the supplementary payment of 5 PLN will be charged. The same amount will be each time charged , when User will return bicycle outside the Rowerowe Łódzkie station.

How to return a bike?

The bike need to be return in one of the station of Rowerowe Łódzkie system, by manually closing the o-lock. O-lock blocker is a mechanism securing the bike in the form of an „O”. The lock must be closed to complete the rental of the bike.

Information about stations of Rowerowe Łódzkie is available on the website www.rowerowelodzkie.pl in „Station Map” and on mobile application Rowerowe Łódzkie.

The return of the bicycle in the Rowerowe Łódzkie system is also possible outside the system stations, but only in the area of the Rowerowe Łódzkie system with reservation of hard-to-reach places, such as closed housing estates or private properties.

During the return, the bike must be immobilized in a way that it stands stable on wheels based on kickstand. It’s worth to mention that the bike should be parked in safe place not hindering car traffic, bicycle traffic or pedestrian.

ATTENTION: In case of renting bike from Rowerowe Łódzkie station and returning it on the station outside the area the supplementary payment of 5 PLN will be charged. The same amount will be each time charged , when User will return bicycle outside the Rowerowe Łódzkie station.

What can I do if I will not rent a bicycle?

In case of issues with rent in Rowerowe Łódzkie system you should contact with our 24/7 Call Center. Consultant can help you with rental and will work out with the causes of unsuccessful attempt of rent.

Where can I find a bike?

You can rent a bike from Rowerowe Łódzkie station. Informations about Rowerowe Łódzkie stations and number of available bikes are on the website www.rowerowelodzkie.pl in „Map of stations” and on the mobile application Rowerowe Łódzkie in „Search Bike”.

How long can the rental last?

The rental can last up to 12 hours. After exceeding 12 hours, the additional fee of 200 PLN is added. During the rental period (after the 3rd, the 6th and 12th hour of the rental), a user will receive automatically generated messages that will remind them about the rental and possible fees.

How many bicycles can I borrow at the same time?

You can borrow up to 4 bikes per one account. The system calculates the time of the rental separately for each bicycle, so there is no need to return all of them at the same time. In case of non-standard rentals, i.e. group rentals, please contact us at the following e-mail address: [email protected]

How to rent a bike?

To rent a bike just go to the bike and with the mobile application scan QR code which is on the back of the bike or enter the number of bike manually. The rent is also possible after place the sign RFiD card to the designated place on the bike. In case of issues with the rent User can also contact with our 24/7 Call Center.

How can I cancel the “Break”?

In order to cancel the “Break”, you need to log in on your “Rowerowe Łódzkie” mobile application, then select the option “Resume” – this option will allow you to continue the rental. Break can also be canceled after contact with our 24/7 Customer Service.

It’s worth to remember that the break during the rent is included in the rental period.

Can I take a break during the ride and leave the bike for a few minutes?

Yes. User can park bike without making a return in the system, in order to do that, you have to use “Brake” tab – available on the mobile application “Rowerowe Łódzkie”.

It is worth to remember that bike cannot be left in isolated or “risky” places. It should be fasten with the o-lock blocker and immobilized in a way that it stands stable on wheels, based on kickstand. Remember that the bike should be parked in safe place not hindering road, bicycle or pedestrian traffic.

All the breaks during your ride are included in the rental period. Renting a bicycle (e. g. using the “Rowerowe Łódzkie” mobile application) that has been left on the break is not possible for another User. In case of such attempt, that person will be informed that the bike is not available at the moment.

How can I delete my account?

In order to completely remove an account from the system, you must fill in your balance to 0 PLN. You need to send a request form via e-mail : c[email protected] or by post to the operator’s address :

Deactivating and deleting an account – what is the difference?

Deactivating an account does not mean deleting its data from the system. In order to completely remove an account from the system, you must send a request form on contact form, by post to the operator’s address or by submitting it at the company’s office.

I do not have an e-mail address, how can I use bicycles?

The e-mail address is necessary to register the account, because any changes to the regulations and relevant information are sent via email. You can ask a friend for help in creating an email – it can be done as quick as registering in our system.

Do I have to inform the operator about a change in my personal details?

Yes, users, if there is any change in user’s personal details, such as first name and/or last name, the user is obliged to inform the operator about that fact via e-mail: [email protected] by post to the operator’s address or submit it to the company’s office. Other data such as post address and/or e-mail address can be changed after logging in on the website www.rowerowelodzkie.pl or the Rowerowe Łódzkie mobile application. We would like to remind you that in case of making any changes on your account, you should confirm other personal data on your account.

I want change my post address and/or e-mail address. How can I modify my personal data?

Address can be changed after logging in on the website www.rowerowelodzkie.pl, the Rowerowe Łódzkie mobile application, you can send an information to the operator via e-mail: [email protected] , by post to the operator’s address, submit it to the company’s office or by contacting the 24-hour Contact Centre. We would like to remind you that in case of making changes on your account, you should confirm other personal data on your account.

I have a new phone number. How can I change it on my account?

You can change your phone number after logging on the account on www.rowerowelodzkie.pl .in “User Settings” .

If you want change the phone number on your account, you can send an information to the operator via e-mail: [email protected] , by post to the operator’s address or submit it to the company’s office. We would like to remind you that in case of making changes on your account, you should confirm other personal data on your account.

How to generate a new PIN code?

In order to generate a new PIN code to your account, you should visit www.rowerowelodzkie.pl website. Then, before logging in, select the “I forgot my PIN” option. The new PIN code will be sent to the phone number, that is assigned to your account.

If you use mobile application Rowerowe Łódzkie, before logging in select the „Did you forget your PIN code?” option – after entering the number registered in the system, the new PIN will be sent to you via SMS. You can also generate a new PIN code by contacting the 24-hour Call Center. In order to change the PIN code to a different one than generated by the system, select the “Password” tab after logging in to the account.

Can I register 2 accounts on the same phone number in Rowerowe Łódzkie system?

In Rowerowe Łódzkie System User can have only one account.

How can I register account if I have not attained the age of 18?

Persons above 13 years of age who have not attained the age of 18 must, prior to conclusion of Agreement, submit to the Operator a written consent of one of the parents or legal guardians for the conclusion of the Agreement

Parental consent must be sent by an e-mail, by post to the operator’s address or submit it to the company’s office.

Why is my account inactive/blocked?

There are several reasons for inactivity/account blocking. Remember that the account is active only when you have at least 10PLN or have a credit card attached. Also make sure that you have completed the registration process, e. g. you have completed all required data in your account and clicked on the activation link that have been sent at your e-mail address. The account may also be inactive in the event of a blockade, if you have not followed the regulations, for example, the bike was used for purposes other than its intended purpose, it was left unprotected and / or in a different location from the return station. In order to determine the reasons for inactivity, you can contact the 24-hour Call Center or send an inquiry using the contact form.

What is the o-lock blocker?

O-lock blocker is a mechanism securing the bike in the form of an „O”. O-lock blocker is setted on the back wheel and it’s an element of every bicycle’s equipment. Without closing the o-lock it is impossible to finish the rental . It is worth to remember that o-lock blocker stays open during the ride.

 

Can I attach a child seat to a standard bike?

Child seats cannot be attached to a standard bike. It is designated to carry one person at a time.

I had an accident on a city bike. What steps should I take?

In the event that an accident or collision occurs during bicycle rental, you are required to write a statement and / or call the Police to the place of the incident. In addition, in the case of the described event, you are obliged to inform about the above Call Center up to 24 hours from the moment of occurrence.

I have found abandoned bike. What should I do?

Please notice that in Rowerowe Łódzkie system bikes can be also outside the stations. If the back wheel is immobilized with the o-lock blocker, and the bike is on the User- zone , it does not require further intervention. In case you see insecure bike, we will be grateful for information with number of the bike and specific location by contact with dedicated helpline.

The bike is not working properly. What can I do?

We will be more than grateful for providing information including the bike number via the Rowerowe Łódzkie mobile application, contact form , website or by contacting the 24-hour Call Center. Our service will take steps to remove any defects as soon as possible. We work 24 hours a day to monitor the system status, but such reports allow us to intervene even faster.

Can I rent bicycles in Rowerowe Łódzkie if I have an application other than Rowerowe Łódzkie?

Only the Rowerowe Łódzkie moblile application is dedicated to the Rowerowe Łódzkie system.

System Rowerowe Łódzkie let you return bike outside the station, but in Łódzki Rower Publiczny return of the bike should be made on the station. This difference results from different construction of the bicycyle.

In Rowerowe Łódzkie the bike has o-lock blocker which let you return the bike after lock it While in Łódzki Rower Publiczny system to return bike you need to leave a bike in the electro-lock or to attach bike using a chain lock with the to the ear of the chosen stand or to another bike, and shuffle the numbers.

Stations in Rowerowe Łódzkie are signed with the green information bar. In Łódzki Rower Publiczny on the stations you can find terminals with electric screen where you can rent/return a bike.
